Agents of the Armed Forces was formed in 2022 by Edward Wheeler and Cameron Hodge around a simple idea: military families should not have to explain military life to the person helping them move.
AAF was created to help service members, veterans, and military families understand a new duty station, make better housing decisions, and connect with local real estate professionals who understand the realities of a PCS.
AAF grew out of firsthand military and real estate experience. Edward Wheeler built his real estate business while serving on active duty in the U.S. Navy, after years of seeing what military families deal with when orders arrive: short timelines, long-distance decisions, deployments, unfamiliar markets, VA financing, BAH, and the challenge of choosing a place to live before you really know the area.
Alongside Cameron Hodge, Ed helped form Agents of the Armed Forces in 2022 to build something specifically for people making those moves.
A military move is not just a normal home search in a different city. The duty station affects the commute. The report date affects the timeline. BAH affects the budget. A spouse’s job, schools, traffic, bridges, tunnels, flood zones, deployments, and the possibility of another move all change the decision.
AAF was built to give military families useful local information first, then connect them with a real estate professional who understands the market and the military context behind the move.
Agents of the Armed Forces is a military-focused real estate and relocation network. AAF itself is not a brokerage. Participating real estate professionals remain licensed through their own brokerages and serve the local markets they know.
The goal is to build a trusted network around military communities across the country so that when a family receives orders, they have a place to start and a local person to turn to.
AAF is built for active-duty service members, veterans, military spouses, and families preparing for a PCS or relocation. Some people come to us months before a move just trying to understand the next duty station. Others are ready to buy, sell, or relocate immediately.
Either way, the job is the same: help the family understand the move, make the market less confusing, and connect them with the right local help when they need it.
Military families deserve people who understand military life. A PCS should not require teaching your agent what orders, BAH, deployments, or a report date mean.
Local knowledge matters. The right answer in Jacksonville is different from Hampton Roads, San Diego, Norfolk, or any other military market.
Relationships come before transactions. AAF is designed to be useful before someone is ready to buy or sell and still be there when they are.
